Hello all,
We are required by the EC to have a deliverable about how to handle dual-use aspects in SPARTA. We began to make a first draft that you can see here: https://sparta.technikon.com/03-WPs/WP14-Ethics-requirements/Deliverables/D… It integrates mainly what is already in the DoA, with a little bit more details about potential mitigation measures ; in particular, we consider that dual-use aspects is ultimately the responsibility of each partner which is required to get the appropriate authorizations from relevant authorities as needed, SPARTA may only offer support for identification and mitigation. Feedback already provided by the Ethics Committee will be integrated soon.
Meanwhile, could you please do a self-assessment of potential development, production, or use of dual-use items in the Activity or Program you lead? Some documentation which may help you:

Please reply by June 21 even if the answer is no. If you are not sure, please get back to us as soon as possible so we can handle the situation appropriately and be in time for the deliverable for which we must have a final draft by July 2.
Best regards,

Dear WP Leaders,
Most of us started to organise our WP meetings this week, aimed on March/April.
To avoid unnecessary travels, we might cluster some meetings to a same place and day/week.
Please let me know, if anyone prefers joint meeting with us, WP9.
Thank you!
Best,
Jan

Dear Network leaders,
As SPARTA starts up, our first order of business is to refine the activities workplans. We propose using the slides for the SPARTA Kick-off as a first point of convergence.
Attached is a proposed plan for these presentations. As you can notice, we kept the notions of State of the Art and Ambition generally used for the technical activities. We thought it could be interesting to explore how we can have the same approach in non-technical activities as well, aiming at making good practices progress as well. Feedback is very welcome!
Given the short timeframe, could you share your initial versions of slides by 11/2? (We are trying to have a Powerpoint template ready very soon; do not yet spend too much time on formatting!)
Best regards,
