Hello Uwe,

I am adding Elena Kaiser who is working with me on the WP10 activities, and the WP10 mailing list for visibility purposes.

Regarding who fills the reports, I’d see this as an internal organisation issue for the WP team. I used the mailing list in order to get some visibility, but it should be coordinated internally. If the WP leader or the Tasks leaders have concerns, they should definitely reach to us (us being WP10 participants and coordinator).

The Data Management Plan is supposed to help you to categorize and assess the data being used and produced throughout the research work. It’s the initial assessment that we have to conduct before the end of June.
The Assessment of Pre-Existing Resources is meant to document which resources are already available and will be used to conduct the research project. They can be of different nature, beyond data. For example, infrastructures or software have to be included in the list. The APER is a very important document as it will be needed in order to assess what is possible to propose as exploitation strategy, given in particular the possible constraints that pre-existing assets may generate in terms of intellectual property.

Both documents should be filled by answering the questions in each section.

I hope this helps,

Do not hesitate to ask more questions as needed.

Have a great Week-End,

Bertrand

Hi Bertrand,

I'm not sure what you expect to fill out in these two documents. It's not obvious to me. Can you give some examples?
For the Data Management Plan: Should this not be answered by the Work Package leader or the Task leader, since we are not independent from the global goal (deliverable) of the WP/Tasks.

Best

Uwe

Subject: [SPARTA programs.haii-t] Data Management Plan for WP6

Hello,

You are receiving this message as you are part of WP 6. We are representatives of WP10 ("Exploitation") and will support you in putting together a document listing the pre-existing assets you'll use in your research. You will also have to fill a Data Management Plan (DMP).

In order to facilitate this activity, you'll find as attached files, two templates that have to be used.
One is called "SPARTA_DMP_Template_WP6" and is the Data Management Plan. The other is named "SPARTA_APER_Template_WP6" and is used to conduct the assessment of pre-existing resources.

They are both straightforward to use as you simply need to answer the questions. If the provided templates are too short, simply add pages as needed.

As you are building your roadmap and research effort, it is very likely that the initial version won't be comprehensive. This should not be an issue and you should use them as living documents. It is however IMPORTANT to stick with the deadline and ensure they are sent back on the 20th of June 2019 as we'll have to perform validation steps prior to sending them back to the global coordinator for final registration.

Please let us know if there is any issue or question,

Best Regards,
——
